To start this post off I will say that due to me not being on top of timing and not focusing on getting the form sent off the only data set I gathered was from close friends and family with 11 responses (one being my own) so when looking at this data please keep that in mind
Question 1:

The response I got from this question was all the same apart from one person which was the expected outcome when asking these questions from my close friends and family as they have the same interests and hobbies as I do. But the interesting part was considering how even my Mother and her fiance still played video games at least one - two hours on a typical day
Question 2:

Not much to say about this data on it's own only finding that sill it is a large group of males that answered and play video games (though funnily enough the one person who doesn't play video games was a male) along with with both females and other playing video games.
Question 3:

I filled a good age range mostly getting the the age similar to myself which is expected however I did get 2 different age groups that were older which helps with some of the data
Question 4:

I got a really good split of data here with all ranges being filled which can result in interesting comparisons when paired with other questions such as how much they watch Esports or what platform they play on
Question 5:

Huge majority of console players which makes sense as it's the most accessible platform for people who are interested in video game, small amount of overlap but most shocking was that people don't play on their mobile phone
Question 6:

Again a good split the majority rarely watching Esports and then after that the majority have never watches Esports, which highlights even within a sample size that play video games that Esports is still niche
Question 7:

Both options are both even which is an interesting result, there's a slight overlap with Twitch and YouTube both being a platform that some use and others use one or the other. The fact that they a prominent is expected as they are both hugely popular even without Esports
Question 8:

The results here show a mistake as there is actually only one strongly disagree instead of 2, along with this even with people not watching Esports often, the majority aren't openly against the classification of it being a sport instead holding at worst a neutral position, with even splits across neutral, agree and strongly agree
Question 9:

There are some great reasoning behind some of the answers with a wide range with short and long-ish answers
some of my favorite answers being
Agree: Sport to me, isn't necessarily always physical. It can mental too. Like pool or snooker for an example, its not exactly physically demanding but it does require precision and somewhat of a strategy. I think that goes for Esports as well. Depending on the game, it may depend precision, but most of the time it requires strategy and communication especially if its a team game.
Strongly agree: Esports is just as valid as any sport. Professional gamers often have a shorter life span in terms of their careers. 2-3 years as things like Arthritis and carpal tunnel are all real injuries they risk just like a professional football player risks injury although some don’t recognize Esports as a real sport that notion is quickly changing
Strongly disagree: I would argue that sport should involve some sort of taxing physical activity - for example motor-sports are not sports in my opinion
I have a spread sheet as well that showcase each response and how they answered each question which helped draw these conclusions

Here is a link to view the spreadsheet itself: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1wRBPtGds8h7BPewC2vJP0ml1OK0AJqhvagoXDY1QcEo/edit?usp=sharing
Evaluation: Well i think this questionnaire was good it wasn't perfect, i fell like i could of expanded upon more ideas and added a few more questions relating to Esports and whether they are interested in the game as well as the competitions, whether they would like to go to Esports events in persons etc.
I also struggled with actually achieving my sample size apart from close friends and family which may have affected my results and could of ended up with more interesting data
